Inspiration plz

I've been feeling particularly blah for a few weeks now. I'm off my DBZ kick, at least until I get stressed enough to retreat back into it, and now I'm just bored. I'm still working on CtZ, but not as quickly as I'd like. Right now, it's just the research phase, getting together the multitude of reference I need to make this thing convincing. Additionally, architecture is serious business.

Back to it, it's been a while since I've had to combat any sort of art block, what with school and non-stop commissions. What's a dinosaur to do?

Personally, I can't get enough of propaganda-style art; combining with anthro characters could be exciting. Posters to explain to humans WHY they're inferior to (insert species here)

Hi! I just got back from Canada. It's neat up there. The only word I heard that had an accent on it was "sorry." Might have something to do with the fact I was only four hours away from home.

So if I understand this journal entry correctly, you're having artist's block. Are you asking for specific things to draw (requests) in hopes that someone will ask for something that inspires you, or are you asking for generic ways around artist's block?

For generic ways around artist's block, look to things for inspiration. Find other people's art you like and drool on it. Read books or watch shows/cartoons that you like. Read comic books! Find something that's awesome that'll make you think "I wanna draw that!"

For specifics, I've always been a fan of Gargoyles. Just grabbed myself a copy of the second version of the comic. Here's a cover Google Image Search gave me: [link]

And sometimes, when you don't feel like drawing anything, you just have to put pencil to paper and draw SOMETHING. Speaking of drawing something, weren't you doing cheap commissions? I could pay you if it would fix your problems. ;)

Noooo, you can't be off your kick! You're pretty much responsible for getting me back into the whole DBZ gig, you can't leave me alone LOL XD I do know what it's like though. I tend to yo yo in and out of fandoms a lot too ^^;

I wish I wasn't, believe me! I'd like nothing more than to depict Big Blue in all his glory right now, but he's coming out rather soulless whenever I attempt to draw him, a sure sign that our on-again-off-again relationship is once again set to off.
